The excavation at Al Khiday (Central Sudan, Khartoum Region), organized by CSSeS (www.centrostudisudanesi.org) is now getting to its 9th season and the interdisciplinary approach followed in the research permitted to gain an incredible amount of data, which is ready to be published. Thanks to the contribution of archaeologists and specialists of many scientific disciplines (geoarchaeology, archaeometry, anthropology, zooarchaeology, geochemistry) the quality of information is quite high and Al Khiday sites may become of a reference for the archaeology of the Nile valley in the Early and Middle Holocene periods.
